Creative Process
This process can be scaled down for quick turn projects, like engineering update videos, or scaled up for bigger projects that can take months to develop. Once engagement happens, I can quickly determine which parts of this process are needed.
Engagement
PARTNER CONNECTION + KICK-OFF MEETING
During this stage of the process we will:
- Define our key partner
- Understand the current state of the project
- Pick two (Good, Fast, Cheap?)
- Next steps to move into the Development stage
- Lots of whiteboarding sessions :)
Development
RESEARCH + STORY ALIGNMENT + CREATIVE ALIGNMENT
During this stage of the process we will:
- Learn about the customer + industry
- Brainstorm Left/Center/Right concepts
- Create lo-fi prototypes/mood boards/style frames
- Present a recommendation + outline + storyboards
Discovery
PROTOTYPING + STORY CREATION
During this stage of the process we will:
- Collaborate on hi-fi prototypes/previz/animatics/wireframes
- Complete the script
- Schedule production + logistics
- Production
Delivery
BUILD + FINAL ASSET
During this stage of the process we will:
- Collaborate during post-production
- Lots of in-person reviews (if possible)
- Design the audio and graphics
- Deliver the final piece
Reflection
LOOK BACK ON THE COLLABORATION AND WHAT WE CREATED
During this stage of the process we will discuss:
- Hey, it’s been a journey! How did it go?
- What went well? What could’ve been done differently? What did we learn?
- This is a time for us to listen, learn, and grow.
- Celebrations!
